CanExel® Prefinished Exterior Trim by Maibec is engineered to be a perfect colour and texture match for the CanExel siding collection — and works equally well alongside other siding types. Made from durable wood fibers, phenolic resins, and zinc borate via the TEC™ process, each trim board delivers superior resistance to moisture, rot, and termites. The cedar woodgrain surface finish is available in four pre-finished colours — White, Mist Grey, Granite, and Black — in 4" and 5" widths, with White also available in 6" and 8". Primed options extend the range to 10" and 12" widths. All pieces are 16 feet long and can be installed horizontally or vertically. Backed by a 25-year limited warranty and ICC-ES ESR-3043 compliance.

Kaycan CanExel Exterior Trim is factory-finished trim stock designed to colour-match and texture-match the Maibec CanExel engineered wood siding system — ensuring a seamless visual transition between the siding field and trim elements on any facade where CanExel siding is specified. The trim is manufactured with the same DuraTech surface process as CanExel siding: wood fibres combined with phenolic resins and zinc borate are heat-and-pressure cured to lock colour and texture permanently into the surface.
The zinc borate additive provides meaningful resistance to moisture penetration, rot, and termite damage — all critical failure modes for trim exposed to the humid springs and freeze-thaw cycles typical of the Canadian climate. Available in CanExel's full colour palette, the trim stock is compatible with standard carpentry tools and installs with conventional fastening, caulking, and joint-finishing techniques.
