ALUM-A-POLESAlum-A-Poles

The foundation of the Alum-A-Pole staging system. Made from special structural aluminum with Saf-T-Grip rubber on each end for secure pole-to-pole connections. Available in 6', 12', 18', and 24' lengths so they can be configured for virtually any working height. Each pole features four separate safety stops for added protection. The smooth, chatter-free design eliminates vibration during work, and the all-weather construction allows use in rain, heat, and cold. Over 1,000,000 Alum-A-Poles are in use worldwide.

ALUM-A-JOINTAlum-A-Joint

The Alum-A-Joint is used to connect two Alum-A-Poles end-to-end for greater height. The joint provides a secure, rigid connection between poles of any combination — 6', 12', 18', or 24'. Joints are stackable, so multi-stage configurations simply use one joint per pole-to-pole connection. Required when working heights exceed a single pole length.

Alum-A-Pole Scaffolding System - Alum-A-Brace profile
ALUM-A-BRACEAlum-A-Brace

Alum-A-Braces secure the staging poles to the building for stability at height. Two types are available: foldable braces (used at the ground level or first stage of each pole) and rigid braces (used as intermediate braces when working above 24'). Each brace is secured to the building with Alum-A-Screws™ or 3" type AB screws — a minimum of 4 screws per brace is required. For configurations up to 24' height, one foldable brace per pole is sufficient. For heights above 24', add intermediate rigid braces at a maximum vertical spacing of 16' between braces.

Alum-A-Pole Scaffolding System - Pro-Jack profile
PRO-JACKPro-Jack

The Pro-Jack is the telescoping staging bracket that holds the work platform at the correct working height. It extends telescopically and locks in position, supporting staging up to 27" wide. Load tested in excess of 4,000 lbs. The Pro-Jack features a comprehensive safety system: PRO-STRAP secures the jack to the pole, SAF-T-LOK CHAIN prevents accidental upending, AXIAL PERMA CLUTCH controls the raising and lowering mechanism, SAF-T-BRAKE with Secondary Disc Brake prevents uncontrolled descent, AUTO-GLIDE ensures smooth travel up and down the pole, SAF-T-CRANK is the raising handle, SAF-T-LATCH locks the jack at the desired height, and SAF-T-LATCH RESTRICTER prevents accidental unlocking.

Alum-A-Pole Scaffolding System - Alum-A-Scaff profile
ALUM-A-SCAFFAlum-A-Scaff

The Alum-A-Scaff is an OSHA-recognized aluminum scaffold plank. It features structural square rungs for a secure working surface and No-Snow Decking™ that allows water, ice, and debris to fall through rather than accumulate. Individual planks can be joined infinitely — side-by-side for up to 24" wide staging or end-to-end for up to 24' long runs. The standard model A-1424 is 14" wide × 24' long and is rated for 2-man use. The Saf-T-Lok Chain prevents anti-twist and anti-upending of the plank during use.

SAF-T-NETSaf-T-Net

The Saf-T-Net (Simm's) is a safety net that hangs below the work platform to prevent workers, tools, and materials from falling to the ground. Tested far in excess of OSHA static load requirements. It moves with the worker as the platform is raised or lowered. Maximum open area is 14 inches to ensure tools and small materials cannot fall through. Custom printing is available.

END-RAILEnd Rail System

The End Rail System provides guardrail protection at both ends of the scaffold plank. One pair of end rails is used per staging configuration to cap the open ends of the Alum-A-Scaff planks and prevent workers from stepping or falling off the ends of the platform.

Application Guide

  1. SYSTEM LOAD CAPACITY: The Alum-A-Pole system has a maximum allowable load of 500 lbs — this includes up to 400 lbs for two workers plus up to 100 lbs for tools and a siding box. Do not exceed this rated capacity.

  2. MAXIMUM WORKING HEIGHT: The maximum shoulder working height for the Alum-A-Pole system is 50 ft. Do not configure the system to work above this height.

  3. BRACING REQUIREMENTS: For heights up to 24 ft, use one foldable Alum-A-Brace per pole secured to the building. For heights above 24 ft, add intermediate rigid braces at a maximum vertical spacing of 16 ft between braces. Secure each brace with a minimum of 4 Alum-A-Screws™ or 3" type AB screws into solid framing.

  4. MUDCAP AND JACK INSTALLATION: Install the Mudcap on the base of each pole before erecting the system to protect the pole end on ground. When the poles are in position, remove the Mudcap and install the Pro-Jack to hold the work platform.

  5. PRO-JACK OPERATION: Raise the Pro-Jack to the desired working height using the SAF-T-CRANK. Lock it in position with the SAF-T-LATCH. The SAF-T-BRAKE and Secondary Disc Brake prevent uncontrolled descent. The SAF-T-LOK CHAIN prevents the jack from upending on the pole. The PRO-STRAP secures the jack to the pole at all times.

  6. ALUM-A-SCAFF INSTALLATION: Place the Alum-A-Scaff plank across two Pro-Jacks. The Saf-T-Lok Chain secures the plank to prevent anti-twist and anti-upending. For wider staging, join planks side-by-side (up to 24" wide). For longer staging, join planks end-to-end (up to 24' long). Install End Rails at both open ends of the platform.

  7. SAF-T-NET: Hang the Saf-T-Net below the work platform before beginning work. The net moves with the platform as it is raised or lowered and must remain in place at all times during use. The maximum open area of 14 in. ensures tools and materials are retained.

  8. ALUM-A-POLES CONNECTION: When connecting poles with Alum-A-Joints for greater heights, the Saf-T-Grip rubber ends ensure a secure connection. Stack only as many pole sections as required for the working height — do not over-extend the system beyond the maximum 50 ft shoulder height.
