Installation Guide
GLASS: Triple-glazed units use a 3/3/3 mm glass configuration with a total IG unit thickness (OD) of 1.36 in. Both air spaces are argon-filled. Glass options are TG1 (single Low-E) and TG2 (double Low-E), available with Eco Gain 180, Eco Shield 270, or Eco Max Shield 366 coatings.
CASEMENT OPERATION: Open the window fully to access both interior and exterior glass surfaces for cleaning from inside. The multi-point locking system will lock even if the sash is not fully latched — always close the sash snugly first, then engage the lock lever to pull the sash tight against the weatherstripping.
AWNING OPERATION: Awnings open outward from the bottom and do not meet Canadian Egress requirements. Limit sash weight to 60 lbs. Open fully for cleaning access from inside the home.
HARDWARE LUBRICATION: Apply a light coating of silicone lubricant on the crank mechanism and pivot points annually. Do not use petroleum-based lubricants — they stay wet and attract dirt. Coastal and high-dust environments require more frequent maintenance.
WEATHERSTRIPPING: Triple weather-stripping on all operating sashes provides protection against air and water infiltration. Inspect annually — replace if compressed or damaged to maintain energy efficiency.
CLEANING GLASS: Use mild soap and water with a soft cloth. For exterior glass on casement and awning windows, open the sash to the full open position to clean from inside. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents on vinyl frames or insulating glass units.
