Enviro Series Vinyl Windows
Enviro Series is the Ply Gem line of triple pane casement windows, with matching awning, fixed, picture, curve-top and rake units. The vinyl frame is built around a full 1.36 in. triple-glazed unit with argon in both air spaces, and TG2 casements are rated to a U-factor of 0.18. There are no sliders in this series.

About Enviro Series Vinyl Windows
Enviro Series is the Ply Gem line of triple pane casement windows, with matching awning, fixed, picture, curve-top and rake units. The vinyl frame is built around a full 1.36 in. triple-glazed unit with argon in both air spaces, and TG2 casements are rated to a U-factor of 0.18. There are no sliders in this series.
Enviro Series is the Ply Gem vinyl line for triple pane casement windows and the awning, fixed and picture units that go with them, plus curve-top and rake shapes. Every opening either cranks out or stays fixed, and the frame was designed to take a full triple-glazed sealed unit. If the job needs horizontal sliders or single hungs, look at the Comfort Series instead. Enviro does not make them.
Every Enviro unit is glazed with three 3 mm lites in a 1.36 in. sealed unit, with argon in both air spaces. TG1 carries one Low-E coating and TG2 carries two, and either can be ordered with Eco Gain 180, Eco Shield 270 or Eco Max Shield 366 glass. Ply Gem's rating sheet puts a TG2 casement at a U-factor of 0.18 (1.02 metric) with either Shield coating, and a TG2 picture window at 0.15 (0.85). Eco Gain 180 is the passive solar option that lets winter sun in. The two Shield coatings hold back summer heat.
Casements lock with a concealed multi-point system worked by one lever, and the Truth Encore folding crank comes in 11 colours and stays clear of most blinds. Operating sashes get triple weather-stripping. Egress hardware is available on casements. Awnings do not meet Canadian egress requirements, so bedroom openings should be casements. Maximum sash weight is 64 lbs on a casement and 60 lbs on an awning.
Frames are white or beige, with optional exterior brickmould and a choice of in-glass flat or contour grilles. Ply Gem pitches Enviro as the triple-glazed line that pairs with its double-glazed Classic Series and aluminum-clad Design Series windows. Installation Guide
GLASS: Triple-glazed units are 3/3/3 mm with a 1.36 in. overall thickness and argon in both air spaces. TG1 has one Low-E coating, TG2 has two. Units are interior glazed.
CASEMENT OPERATION: Open the sash fully to clean both glass surfaces from inside. The sash will lock even when not fully closed: shut it snugly, then engage the lock, which pulls the sash tighter against the weather-stripping. On casements with two locks, engage the bottom lock first.
AWNING: Awnings do not meet Canadian egress requirements; maximum sash weight 60 lbs. Use a casement (64 lbs maximum sash) where egress is needed.
HARDWARE LUBRICATION: Apply a light coat of silicone or similar lubricant to track and pivot points once a year. Avoid petroleum-based lubricants, which stay wet and attract dirt. Coastal or dusty sites need more frequent cleaning and lubrication.
SCREENS: Screens use pull-tabs or plungers and are for insect protection only, not for child safety.
CLEANING: Clean vinyl with mild soap and water and a soft cloth. Do not use solvents, paint removers, steel wool or abrasive pads. Do not use sharp tools on glass; they can score it and lead to cracking.
COLD WEATHER: In severe cold the frame can bow slightly. Keep both locks latched, and do not force a lock that is hard to engage; wait for warmer weather.
