Harrywood PLUS by MAC Metal Architectural is a pre-painted galvanized steel siding profile that delivers the warmth of natural wood without any of the maintenance. Its innovative serrated interlocking system eliminates exposed screws entirely — each panel simply drops onto the one below and locks with gravity. The TEXTURAL IV matte wood-grain paint system includes 6 unique plank variations per colour in every box, creating a truly natural, non-repetitive wall finish that blends with both contemporary and traditional architecture.

HWP-VHarrywood PLUS Vented

Ventilated version of the Harrywood PLUS panel for use as siding or soffit. Provides 4.94 sq. in. of ventilation per linear foot of profile while maintaining the same visual profile.

Ventilation openings must be folded down at panel ends for parallel-to-wall soffit joints. Use 3/8" engineered wood block at joints for a seamless appearance.

Installation Guide

Wood Collection panels come in 6 plank variations per colour (numbered on the back). Install in random order — never repeat the same sequence to avoid a wallpaper effect.
Store panels indoors in a dry, well-ventilated area. If outdoor storage is necessary, keep flat and away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures to prevent protective film from bonding to panels.
Do NOT install over ZIP System Insulated R-Sheathing or similar soft dual-composite panels — insufficient rigidity causes warping and oil canning under sun exposure.
Install Starting Strip (M10SHW) first, perfectly level, 3" above the base of the wall. Use a laser or chalk line for accuracy — this strip guides every row above it.
Drive screws every 16" or 24" o.c. in the centre of pre-punched slots with moderate contact only — do not overtighten. Screws must allow the steel to expand and must not exert upward or downward pressure on the panel.
Remove the factory protective film from panels before installation to allow visual inspection as work progresses.
Check alignment every 3–4 panels. If furring is not perfectly aligned, leave a slight gap under the panel rather than forcing it to avoid tension and warping.
Leave 1/8"–1/4" expansion gap between panel lengths at all cross joints. On walls over 30 ft., install vertical expansion molding; on multi-storey structures, install horizontal transition molding at every floor.
Cut panels using the MAC Harrywood PLUS cutter, sheet metal scissors, or steel nibbler only. Hot cutting or circular/angle grinders leave residual hot metal particles that damage the factory finish and void the warranty.
Notify your supplier before installing more than 144 sq. ft. (2 boxes) if any product issue is discovered during installation to ensure warranty coverage is preserved.
