Application Guide

  1. SURFACE PREPARATION (ALL PRODUCTS) — Surfaces must be free from dust, oil, grease, rust, loose paint, frost, and any substance that may inhibit adhesion. For best results, apply to clean, dry surfaces. Supra Expert may be applied to surfaces as cold as -30°C. Latex 9000 may be applied on damp surfaces. Gutter Waterproof Sealant adheres on both dry and damp gutter joints.

  2. SUPRA EXPERT — APPLICATION — Load cartridge into a caulking gun. Cut nozzle tip at a 45° angle to suit joint width. Apply in a continuous bead, filling the joint from the bottom up. Tool the surface immediately after application to ensure full contact with joint faces. Paintable after 24 hours with latex or oil-based paint. Do not apply to joints smaller than 6mm or larger than 16mm without a backer rod.

  3. SUPRA EXPERT — LIMITATIONS — Exterior use only. Product must be at minimum 5°C (41°F) at time of application even though surfaces can be as cold as -30°C. Contains solvent — provide adequate ventilation. Keep away from heat, sparks, and open flame. WHMIS: B4 (Combustible), D2A (Very Toxic). Keep out of reach of children.

  4. LATEX 9000 — APPLICATION — Apply directly from cartridge with a standard caulking gun. Smooth with a wet finger or tool immediately after application. Clean excess with water before curing. Paintable after 1 hour with latex paint. Allow 12 hours before rain exposure. Fungicide-treated formula resists mould growth in high-humidity environments. Safe for dry food contact surfaces when fully cured (CFIA approved).

  5. LATEX 9000 — LIMITATIONS — Not recommended below -5°C during application. Do not use in continuously wet or submerged applications. WHMIS not regulated. Latex formula — no solvent odour, suitable for interior use.

  6. BUTYL — APPLICATION — Apply with a standard caulking gun in continuous bead to clean, dry surfaces. Can be used at temperatures as low as -20°C. Fill joint completely and smooth with a dry tool or solvent-dampened cloth. Paintable after 24 hours. Use backer rod when joint depth exceeds 12mm.

  7. BUTYL — LIMITATIONS — Exterior use only. Flammable — keep away from heat, open flame, and sparks. Provides ±15% joint movement accommodation. Compatible with pressure-treated wood framing (PWF). Meets CGSB 19-GP-14M.

  8. GUTTER WATERPROOF SEALANT — APPLICATION — Clean gutter joint area of dirt, debris, and standing water if possible (damp surface is acceptable). Insert cartridge into caulking gun and cut nozzle to the appropriate size. Apply sealant directly into the joint overlap area and press sections firmly together. The sealant bonds on contact and provides immediate waterproofing. Available in White and Clear to match standard eavestrough colours.

  9. GUTTER WATERPROOF SEALANT — LIMITATIONS — For use on PVC and aluminum gutters and eavestroughs only. Not intended for other substrates. Service temperature -30°C to 50°C (-22°F to 122°F). Shelf life 2 years from date of manufacture.

  10. CLEAN-UP & STORAGE — Clean tools before curing with mineral spirits (solvent-based products) or water (Latex 9000). Store cartridges upright in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Replace end caps after use to prevent skinning.
